I just found out that I’ve been chosen as one of the top 10 finalists of Cosmopolitan Magazine’s StarLaunch contest for the next “fun, fearless, female” musician – I have the chance to make it to the final three where I’d get to open up for Natasha Bedingfield & Solange Knowles, hosted by MTV’s Damien Fahey, at a concert in nyc on dec 5th.

if you all want to help out, you can vote for me at cosmopolitan.com/starlaunch. (and by voting, you personally have a chance to win a trip to nyc to see the show.) the grand prize is lotsa money and studio time … much needed. cross your fingers and vote a lot.

just found out that Ourstage will be taping my CMJ showcase next week in nyc – I’ll be at Ace of Clubs on thursday 10/23. just wanted to give you the heads up in case you want to be captured as part of my rabid yet sophisticated audience.

as an example, here’s the video they did at my hometown boston show at Johnny D’s:

just found out my song “all the same mistakes” made it to the finals of the new york songwriters circle songwriting contest – top 12 out of thousands of entries. woo

the finals will take place live at the bitter end in nyc on nov 5 & 6 – you’ll get to hear a stripped down acoustic version of that song.
