back in the beginning of june, ourstage ran a contest giving away tickets to my june 6 boston show – below is the video of the show, dinner with the band, and an interview with me, the winners, and the ourstage crew.

how strange. some anonymous creationist mailed a weighty anti-darwin textbook to me, care of my agent. instead of the same ol’ based-in-the-bible rhetoric, this one is based-in-the-qur’an. a link for the curious.

a favorite topic of those interviewing me for radio or print is my concentration in college, biological anthropology – for those of you who haven’t listened to or read any of those pieces, that deceptively complicated term is basically the study of evolution. SO. this is more personal than random, and I don’t even have a return address to send my counter-arguments. aaaaaaa

praise the gods and the sensible world they created.

the band and I will be on Fearless Music TV in NYC (& other cities) this saturday night, july 5, playing my song “Faster.”

I know for sure it airs in nyc this sat night @ 12:30am on Fox 5 – but it apparently airs in a ton of different cities, at different times (more info @ fearless’s myspace blog).

PS: about “Faster”: this song appeared on a couple previous EPs of mine, and is not on my most recent cd Elijah. I repeatedly scratched it from set lists & decided it was completely used up – but then brian cassagnol (band guitarist / producer of elijah) resurrected it with this beautiful arrangement – I actually fell in love with my song again, which is hard to do … if you’ve been to a live band show recently, you’ve probably heard this version already – if not, you can tune in this weekend.
